Carbon Asset Solutions Ltd (CAS) is a climate technology and data company. Its mission is to be the operating system to transition global agriculture into a climate solution.
CAS developed and operates the Carbon Asset Solutions Soil Carbon Methodology, a new global standard and registry under ISO. It is the world’s first precision, integrated digital Measurement, Reporting and Verification (MRV) supply chain for soil based Carbon Credits, ESG data and Carbon Intensity Scores.
Job description: Software Developer
As a Software developer, you will have the opportunity to be part of a team developing and delivering information systems for Carbon Asset Solutions (CAS). You will serve as a key member of the Software team working with stakeholders to build scalable and maintainable software applications, as well as implement features on software roadmap and work with business on detailed requirements, including building new features and support existing MINS technology and CAS MRV systems.
CAS utilizes Blazor and Azure infrastructure for its web solutions. We also employ blockchain technologies for certain processes, so knowledge of blockchain technologies will be considered a plus.
This position is a permanent full-time role based in Australia, Sunshine Coast and offers an opportunity to work in a fast-growing company.
There is a work from home opportunity mixed with working from our office premises.
Your mission, should you choose to accept it
As a Software developer you implement, enhance and debug new and existing software systems and deliver high-quality code in an Agile environment, with automated unit tests built into the development life cycle.
You will be Involved in the full software life cycle including Analysis, Build, Testing, Integration, Release and Support activities.
You will help detect areas in hardware/software systems that need improvement and assist with making those improvements.
You will contribute to documentation, as well as requirements gathering and planning.
Minimum essentials for the role:
- Minimum of a bachelor's degree in computer science or engineering
- At least 3 years of experience with C#, .NET
- At least one year of experience in development with Blazor
- Experience with Azure
- Experience in DevOps, infrastructure, software integration
- Understanding of blockchain technologies is a plus
- Experience integrating payment systems is a plus
- Ability to prioritize well, communicate clearly, have a consistent track record of delivery and excellent software engineering skills.
- Based on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland to work at our office premises
Roles and responsibilities:
- Writing and implementing software as per requirements
- Maintaining and upgrading existing software
- Working closely with other developers, UX designers, business and systems analyst.
- Maintaining and improving existing codebases and peer review code changes
- Maintaining and improving existing documentation
- Liaising with colleagues to implement technical designs
- Providing written knowledge transfer material
- Making recommendations for improvement based on performance metrics
