We’re currently searching for a new Analyst/Developer to join our growing team across Best Practice.

The Role
The primary focus of this role is to work end-to-end to support practices migrating from other vendors’ software packages to Best Practice Software, using technical, analytical and people skills.
This role is multi-faceted and may involve communicating directly with current and prospective customers to support the conversion process; the functional and technical design of software; proxy product owner activities; software development and documentation; as well as stakeholder management, testing and test automation according to business needs.
As Analyst/Developer we’ll call on your unique talents, skills, expertise and experience to:
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure to identify and resolve the root cause of issues encountered during customer conversions
- Excellent written communication and phone skills, with the ability to analyse customer requests and understand the underlying business need
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- The ability to plan and prioritise work according to business need
- Willingness to learn new technologies, concepts and people skills
- An understanding of relational databases and the ability to write SQL queries
- Ability to work with internal and external stakeholders to design/scope and build requirements
- Initiative and ability to ask questions when unsure or to clarify requirements/issues
Our Development Services team will provide one of the very first impressions that our customers get of Bp’s customer service and support, and continue to assist customers throughout their lifecycle with custom development. In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to provide the best possible experience for new customers of Bp, and to provide our current customers with enhanced functionality that improves
their experience with our products.
We believe our ideal applicant will demonstrate the following attributes:
- Graduate qualifications in Information Technology (or equivalent experience)
- Experience in a software development and/or software support role
- A drive to deliver a fantastic customer experience
- Flexibility to work outside of standard business hours (including weekends) to assist customers
- Experience with Microsoft .NET development products (specifically C#, Azure DevOps and SQL Server) is highly desirable
- Experience in the Health Industry, specifically medical software, or with data conversion software – is desirable but not essential
