THE ROLE:
We are looking for a passionate experienced Software Developer to join our Global Customer Enablement team based in Tonsley, South Australia. Our team builds and manages software that facilitates engagement with and supports our global customers and internal labs and their processes.
The successful candidate will contribute to designing and adding new features and improving and expanding the existing user experiences. You will need to demonstrate proven skills in the technologies used to provide these tools.
You will also need to have strong written and verbal communication skills (English). As we are a global business, there are times when we need to provide some out of hours support and meetings, along with the opportunity to travel interstate and overseas.
MAIN ACTIVITIES:
Duties include, but are not limited to:
· Efficient delivery of high quality and consistent software code and solutions compliant with security requirements
· Participation in the validation of software requirements as an input to solutions development
· Participate in the planning and oversight of execution of software delivery projects
· Improving and adding new capabilities to our existing web apps and APIs
· Design and implementation of services targeting new and existing business opportunities
· Design and build integrations between new and existing systems
· Participate in the complete software development life cycle for new and legacy software and digital tool sets (including updating and maintenance of legacy code)
· Maintaining availability and troubleshooting digital tools and service issues
· Coach and support junior developers to maintain quality, efficiency and consistency of code and develop their skills, competency, and productivity
REQUIREMENTS:
Education:
· Tertiary qualifications in Computer Sciences / Software Development or similar.
Work Experience:
· Minimum 3 - 7 Years experience in developing software and application solutions.
Specific Knowledge/Skills:
· C# .Net Core/Framework for our main web, API, and background services
· SQL Server and Entity Framework for database migrations and querying
· ASP.NET Views / Razor Pages, client-side Vue.js, Bootstrap, Plotly.js
· GitLab for version control, CI/CD, and code packages
· MSBuild/WebDeploy for app deployment and IIS for hosting
Additional favorable areas of awareness / knowledge.
· MVC and API development using ASP.NET 6+
· Database design and development using EntityFramework
· HTML, CSS, JavaScript (ECMAScript 2019), and Vue.js development
· Security principals for web development and data at rest and in transit
· Privacy principals for user data
· Unit and integration testing
· Cloud-based solutions (E.g. Azure)
· Distributed caching (E.g. Redis)
· Message/queuing development (E.g. RabbitMQ)
· Stored procedure development (E.g. TSQL)
· Data warehouse and business intelligence development (E.g. SSIS , SSRS, Power BI)
· Mobile app development (E.g. Xamarin / MAUI)
· Understanding of UI development
