Role Description
This Software Developer role will be responsible for working as a member of a team responsible for planning and driving the development of software components, integrating Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) and Government Off the Shelf (GOTS) software, as well as documenting technical processes and assisting with testing and deployment activities. The role will need very high level software development skills and a proven ability to work within an integrated team of technical and non-technical personnel.
The Specified Person will be expected to demonstrate attributes of SFIA Level of Responsibility 5

1. Take responsibility for the development of software using a variety of software languages and development environments, to ensure it meets business requirements.
2. Deliver scripting using a variety of languages and secondary skills
3. Lead the development of software that supports high quality User Experience outcomes.
4. Adhere to and improve software engineering processes.
5. Contribute to and support leadership efforts to improve engineering processes.
6. Identify system interdependencies and liaise with other system stakeholders to resolve conflict and coordinate integrated solutions.
7. Work as a leading member of an integrated Agile team.
8. Document technical processes.
9. Develop a schedule of work and report on progress.
The role is based in Canberra with minimal to no travel
