Software Engineer

We are looking for a skilled Software Engineer to join our dynamic team to support our business.
About the role:
This position will be reporting to the Chief Technology Officer and the job description includes but is not limited to
? Execute full lifecycle software development, including programming, testing, and deployment.
? Code Deployment (Docker), QA testing, version control (GIT) and SDLC.
? Development and maintenance of backend and frontend apps.
? Developing software using React and Python as well as Linux server scripting.
? Produce specifications to determine operational feasibility and identify requirements and solutions through flowcharts and layouts.
? Integrate software components into a fully functional system and ensure compliance with project plans and industry standards.
? Develop software verification plans, quality assurance procedures, and documentation to maintain software functionality.
? Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems, as well as deploy applications and evaluate user feedback.
? Enhance applications by identifying opportunities for improvement, making recommendations, and designing and implementing systems.
? Maintain and improve existing codebases, peer review code changes, and focus on creating fault-tolerant programming.
? Create scalable, automated solutions for our customer base, write tests for existing and created code, and investigate new technologies where relevant.
? Collaborate with colleagues to implement technical designs and provide written knowledge transfer material.
? Ensure software is updated with the latest features to ensure compatibility and stability.
About you:
? A minimum of 3 years of experience as software developer.
? Proven skills with AWS services for the business such as EC2, Load balancers, Security Groups, S3, CDN, Lambda, RDS.
? Experience working with Code Deployment and development using Vagrant, Docker and VirtualBox.
? Excellent verbal and written communication skills
? Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize workloads under pressure and meet deadlines
? A self-starter who is hands-on and knows how to find answers and work with ambiguity
? Value-driven and practical in your approach

Salary - AUD 80,000 per year plus superannuation
