ChirpyPlus was created in 2018 to solve loneliness for over 50's in Australia and New Zealand. We are passionate about our mission and live every day to make a difference nationally. ChirpyPlus is the 2024 Queensland Telstra Best of Business Award winner for Innovation. We hold over 600+ local events Australia wide every month and our aim is to triple that number in 2024. Our technology is state of the art and is the leading platform for over 50's in Australia. Already in 2024, our paid membership has grown by over 3000 new members across Australia and NZ.
Our technology is what sets us apart, we are on a Google Firebase PWA platform.
Qualifications & experience
- Degree in computer science, engineering, or mathematics or equivalent technical experience.
- 3+ years experience with our development environment:
- Our front-end Stack: Typescript, Sass, Angular.
Bonus points if you have worked with Ionic and PWAs
- Our back-end stack: NodeJS, NoSQL, Firebase
- Version control (Git, Bitbucket) and issue trackers (JIRA) - 3+ years experience in a commercial environment
- The ability to be proactive and independent. To look for solutions to problems and actively solve with minimal support needed.
Tasks & responsibilities
- This role is initially for 25 hours per week, fully work from home. Full Time within 120 days of joining.
- You will be a key part of our development team, working under the direction of our CTO and alongside our development team, based in NZ.
- You will have a high degree of autonomy, you will be expected to think for yourself, yet you will be working as part of a collaborative team.
- You will be helping expand our technology as needed for our USA launch.
