Key Responsibilities:
- You have 10+ years’ experience working as a software engineer, with 2+ years’ experience in a technical leadership role.
- Proven experience across the entire Microsoft M365 ecosystem. Please do not apply if you do not have this depth of experience.
- You have experience designing and developing scalable and secure containerized applications using a microservice architecture on a major cloud computing platform (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- You take a very hands-on approach to understanding and closing technical risks.
- You are able to work with product management and business teams to transform product and business requirements into designs.
- Provide strategic direction, technical guidance, and leadership to engineering teams.
- Drive adoption of modern engineering practices, methodologies, and tools.
- Mentor team members, manage resources, and ensure successful project delivery within budget and timeframe.
- Champion best practices and foster a culture of collaboration and excellence and ensure governance standards are maintained.

Our ideal candidate is passionate about driving innovation, fostering team growth, and navigating complex technical landscapes with ease.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
- Extensive experience leading and managing Software Engineering and testing functions.
- Proven track record of successfully mentoring and developing high-performance teams.
- Mastery of modern Software Engineering and testing standards, methodologies, and tooling.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, facilitating effective collaboration.
- Adept at identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks associated with IT Software Engineering and testing.
- Skilled in stakeholder management and adept problem-solving abilities.

Working Hours / Environment:
Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, with flexibility for additional hours as needed.
Hybrid work environment - Predominantly work from home with a commitment to attend Southport based office on a regular basis for team sessions.

Occasional travel for team collaboration and meetings.
