About the role
As a Soil Technician we will require you to:
- Undertake both field and laboratory testing across a broad range of methods, including but not limited to Australian Standards and TMR
- Complete laboratory testing at the required production level
- Undertake training in test methods
- Follow procedures directed by the Senior Technicians team
- Prepare worksheets checking measurements and calculations of test results of other technicians
- Learn the internal Protest Software Matrix (PSM)
- Maintain, clean and test equipment while keeping work area tidy
- Liaise with internal staff and clients
Skills, Knowledge, Abilities and Attitude
You will be self-motivated, a fast learner and bring a positive attitude to the team.
We are ideally looking for experienced technicians who possess:
- Good knowledge of Microsoft office Suite (Outlook, Word and Excel)
- The ability to work flexible hours
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- The ability to work under pressure, show initiative, prioritise and schedule work
- The ability to be a team player and work unsupervised
Qualifications
- Current driver’s licence
- Minimum of 2 year’s relevant experience
- Certificate 3 in Construction Materials Testing (preferable)
- Nuclear License
