The opportunity
We are seeking a driven Solicitor to join our Commercial Litigation + Class Actions team in either Sydney or Melbourne. Working closely with our esteemed Partners, Richard Leder, Georgie Austin and Amanda Beattie, you will have the opportunity to work on important and complex legal matters and use your skills to help a wide range of clients.

Some of the work the team do

  • Complex personal injury matters, including representing institutions facing sensitive claims.
  • Critical Royal Commissions and inquiries like those addressing police conduct, mental health, and the response to child sexual abuse.
  • Advising corporate clients on strategic risk mitigation and dispute resolution, helping them avoid litigation whenever possible.
  • High-profile defamation cases and provide pre-publication advice, protecting the voices of respected media outlets.
  • Royal Commissions and inquiries.
  • Sports law representing major sporting organisations like the AFL.
  • Class actions, ensuring financial institutions, professional services firms, and government departments are well-represented in multi-jurisdictional litigation.

To be considered you will have
  • Admitted with 1+ year's PAE.
  • A strong desire to work on high profile claims and complex litigation such as sensitive claims and intentional torts.
  • Strong legal research and drafting skills.
  • Superior organisational skills along with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and concern for quality.
  • A hard working and dedicated approach to your practice.
