Rates: $130 - $160 per hour (inc. super)
The Enterprise Architecture Branch are seeking a Solution Architect Cloud and Infrastructure (Cybersecurity) with an understanding of the technological implications of infrastructure capabilities, such as:
- Network Segmentation (SD-Wan, SASE, microsegmentation, cloud networking)
- Vulnerability Management (scanning, asset management, remediation loops)
- Multi-Cloud security (cross cloud communication, data sovereignty, data egress/ingress)
- Cloud foundational architecture (landing zone, cloud technical policy, process documentation) Cloud Migration Strategy and culture shift Zero Trust Enablement Cloud Platform Specialist AWS, Azure, Openshift Knowledge of Governmental Cybersecurity Frameworks
- Essential 8
- Information Security Manual (ISM)
- Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF)
- Knowledge of NIST CSF and Zero Trust Frameworks would be an advantage.
Key duties may include, but are not limited to:
Technical Solution Architecture: Delivery of strategic architectural artifacts within agreed timeframes and associated governance. These may include:
- Architectural Framework Capabilities
- Architectural Strategies
- Architectural Patterns
- Solution Architectures
- Current State Architectures
- Roadmaps and other supporting diagrams
Technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) Advice: Providing guidance and direction for solutions traversing cybersecurity (ISM, E8), networking, infrastructure and cloud.
Informational Diagramming: being able to summarise technological topologies and complex concepts in a way that can be presented to non-technical stakeholders.
Organisational Strategy: Drive strategic direction on process improvements related to ICT change process, vulnerability management, and self-service/cloud infrastructure.
Organisational Navigation: Proactively seeking and engaging organisational SMEs when direction is unclear or not forthcoming.
Stakeholder Engagement: delivery and presentation of artifacts to both technical staff and non-technical executive leadership.
Stakeholder Management: understanding the audience and providing solutions that both drive the desired outcomes while maintaining the integrity of the strategic direction.

Essential Criteria
- Proven extensive experience and ability developing technology architecture in a complex environment, including reference architecture, blueprints and roadmaps or solutions aligned to strategy and objectives (preferably with Federal Government organisations).
Desirable Criteria
- Demonstrated Knowledge to become a subject matter expert in one of the following categories: Network Infrastructure and Architecture Zero Trust Principles Essential 8 and Vulnerability Management Azure Cloud Architecture AWS Cloud Architecture Openshift Cloud Architecture
- Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills of a higher order, showing evidence of in-depth technical knowledge and capability to handle stakeholder engagement and management.
- Develop, present and discuss work items within a critical peer group forum and ability to present in various governance forums.
