Our federal client is looking for Architect who will be working on a number of initiatives including uplifting customer experience, modernising client's processing, enabling improved efficiency of our workforce and enhancing business agility by transitioning to hyper-scale cloud providers.
Our client requires an experienced IT Architect to:
- Architect cloud solutions and document the solution design to enable communication with required stakeholders.
- Communicate solution designs to team members including business analysts and developers to enable solution delivery.
- Verify and validate solution implementation in accordance with solution designs.
- Contribute to adopting DevOps, infrastructure as code, CI/CD pipelines, automation and cloud-native tools.
- Ensure compliance with relevant standards and architectural principles, compatibility with IP Australia ICT target state and associated roadmaps.
- Participate in project planning activities.
- Deliver detailed designs and associated artefacts to ensure implementation through to production deployment.
- Maintain an understanding of their/worker responsibilities under the Work Health & Safety Act 2011 (WHS Act) and a commitment to promoting a healthy and safe workplace.
Selection Criteria
Essential Criteria
- Demonstrated experience in developing solutions using cloud services across the AWS stack, including but not limited to EC2, VPCs, Aurora, SNS, Kubernetes, API Gateway and Lambda Function.25%
- At least 4 years demonstrated experience working as a solution architect, producing quality outcomes in complex business and technical environments with demonstrated quality outcomes.25%
- Demonstrated ability to facilitate architecture decisions, working with business, architecture peers and technical staff.20%
- Demonstrated experience in producing solution designs covering application, information, integration, technology, and security perspectives.20%
- Demonstrated self-starter with the ability to effectively manage and prioritise workloads.10%
Desirable Criteria
- AWS Cloud certification or equivalent.
- Understanding core technologies used in IP Australia which include AWS cloud native technologies, Java Enterprise Edition, PostgreSQL, SAP, M365, SharePoint Online, Power Apps and the supporting infrastructure including OpenShift, RHEL, NAS and network services.
