Job Description
This is an excellent opportunity for a Solutions Architect looking to:

This specific Solutions Architect position will see you work closely within a team of 15 that comprises of BA’s, PM’s, Software Engineers, Product Owners and Client Relationship Managers. This role is also part of and supported by the FinClear group which consist of 180 employees, 70 specifically being in tech.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Analyzing problems and applying technology to solve them.
- Defining the relevant types of requirements and working with teams to illicit them.
- Estimating solutions and designing development teams to deliver against the requirements.
- Leading teams from a technical standpoint to ensure delivery against requirements.
- Collaborating with technology vendors and third-party development teams to deliver solutions.
- Writing program documentation for third party technical consumption of the organizations public API’s.
- Hands on development/ support of micro service architecture along with client/ server programming in Java, JavaScript technologies on AWS, queue and RDMS infrastructure.
- Influencing and selling ideas to both technical and non technical stakeholders.
- Mentor Software Engineers and Testers.
- Ensure sufficient level of security and encryption are applied.
- Code Reviews and quality improvements.
Required:
- Tertiary education in computer science or a similar discipline.
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience developing solutions leveraging Java.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience developing web solutions in JavaScript, HTML5, CSS.
- Strong analytical and logical skills.
- Experience leading teams to deliver against requirements.
- Expert across AWS, RDMS infrastructure, queue, Micro-Services, TypeScript, SQL, AWS, Linux, GIT Jira.
- Ability to mentor both Software and Test Engineers.
- Experience working in a quality focused test-driven development environment.
- Working with high performance technology solutions.
- Experience working in the financial domain.
- Experience in estimating solutions and designing development teams to deliver against requirements.
- Previous experience working with technology vendors.
- Knowledge of writing program documentation for third party technical consumption of companys public API’s.
- Knowledge or experience across: GRPS, CSS, Hashicorp stack (Terraform, Nomad, Consul, Vault), PostgreSQL, RabbitMQ, Redis, JavaFX, OSX, NextJS, IntelliJ, Polymere, AngularJS, REACTJS.
- AWS Certification.
