ROLE OVERVIEW
Our client is at the forefront of driving the shift towards a net-zero future, leveraging clean energy solutions and innovative customer services. As part of this mission, gas plays a crucial transitional role. Through its Integrated Gas Business Unit, our client is actively expanding its gas exploration and production operations across Australia.
As a member of the Integrated Gas Asset Services team, the Procurement Specialist will play a pivotal role in aligning our procurement needs with the supply market to secure the best cost advantages while reducing commercial risks, adhering to our client's stringent requirements.
ROLE DETAILS
Utilise your expertise and leadership to manage high-risk, technically complex procurement projects, ensuring attention to fairness, overall value, and risk throughout the procurement life cycle.
Implement comprehensive procurement strategies, including strategic sourcing, market research, defining work scopes, and managing contract drafting and negotiations.
Actively pursue strategic sourcing opportunities that align with our client's initiatives.
Efficiently handle multiple contract processes at once.
Forge and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across various levels and departments, ensuring procurement strategies and contracts meet specific business needs.
Lead supplier negotiations, focusing on maximizing value and minimizing commercial risks. Efficiently transition negotiations into well-drafted contracts, enhancing the procurement process from start to finish, including finalization and review of lessons learned.
ABOUT THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
You are a team player with exceptional leadership skills, an effective communicator capable of working collaboratively with a broad spectrum of stakeholders. Your negotiation skills are top-notch, enabling you to secure favorable outcomes.
You have significant experience in procurement and contract management within complex settings at a senior level.
You possess a deep understanding of how procurement strategies relate to and support business goals, including the ability to foresee the implications of your actions on achieving these goals.
A bachelor’s degree in commerce, economics, or a similar field is highly desirable.
