Spa Cooordinator /Sales
La Terre Day Spa (Bruce) is seeking a Spa Coordinator (part time-casual up to 24 hours per week to commence) to support the Spa Manager/Owners and growing spa therapy team and who will become an integral part of our Spa’s eco-system.
We aim to cultivate a diverse working environment in which our team of specialist therapists deliver their very best each day, to a rapidly growing client base.
As our Spa Coordinator, you will support (and report directly to) our Spa Manager/Owner contributing to the overall guest experience. You are a natural people-person who will contribute to the smooth day-to-day spa operation and guest satisfaction.
This is an exciting position that; will require you to ‘do what needs to be done’, to put your hand to anything that may arise – as no two days are ever quite the same.
Key Responsibilities
- Day-to-day operational support – ensuring five-star spa standards, creating the most amazing guest experience
- Deliver a nurturing first impression via our Welcome and Farewell rituals to our spa guests while ensuring the spa moves in a serene state of ‘flow’
- Retail sales – the ability to provide retail home-care advice (product knowledge and retail sales training will be provided)
- Retail stock management
- Oversee our open (AM) or close (PM) spa rituals (depending on your allocated rosters)
- Ensure sufficient levels of product, consumables and spa linen is well-stocked at all times
- Appointment management - reminders, rescheduling, finalising payments, co-ordinate group bookings, Inbound/outbound inquiries via social media, answering phone calls, returning voicemails and emails
- Co-ordinating and attend VIP/client events, group bookings, etc.
- Process all deliveries, laundry services, etc
- General tea and tidy duties
- Willing to ‘muck-in’ and get your hands dirty to support the therapist team with room set-up/turn-over, prepare fruit platters, herbal tea menu, warm hand towels, spa and sauna cleaning to maintain H&S standards - as well as general spa cleanliness, where required
- Ensure your allocated room has sufficient levels of product, consumables,
- Attend all internal and external (spa partner) training (product knowledge, protocol training, etc)
- Attend monthly team meetings
- Ability to build a strong repeat clientele
Requirements
- Spa, massage, beauty, retail, or reception experience is highly-considered; however not essential – passion, determination, and willingness to train and develop will be your ‘stand-out’ to for success
- Both availability and willingness to work weekend shifts and late nights
- Intermediate-level computer skills
- Naturally organised with an eye-for-detail
- Well-presented (non-negotiable)
- A ‘can-do’ happy, positive and helpful attitude
- Someone who works well within a team, however; can complete tasks autonomously as directed
- You can be counted on for your consistency and, reliability
- Attention to detail
- Applicants are required to read, speak and write English to a proficient level
- Attend team meetings, VIP events, and internal and external training, when requested
- Demonstrate enthusiasm, and motivation and display warmth and empathy toward all
