The company has been selected as the contractor to supply Land 8116, and now Land 400 Phase 3, the latter of which is the Australian Army’s largest ever acquisition program to date.

Your new role:
The Spares and S&TE Coordinator is to provide supply support to capability fleets in various locations around Australia. The Spares and S&TE Coordinator will be the conduit between the main stakeholders of Commonwealth, HDA Subcontractors, HDA Field Service Representatives (FSR) and Commonwealth representatives for all sparing and S&TE for the projects.
This person will be integral in the development of HDA strategies, processes, and internal projects. Success will require forging a partnership with all cross-stream (functional) areas across the company and HDA’s subcontractors to reinforce and improve upon existing project and program methodologies that meet internal and external client objectives while creating value for all parties.
Primary Duties:
- Coordinate the day-to-day logistics operations between the various Defence locations around Australia, including stock reporting and corporate governance of HDA and CoA-owned equipment
- Asset and inventory management of HDA-owned inventory (including accurate and timely recording of receipts and inventory management), equipment and tooling using SAP Business One (B1) and SAP S4/HANA.
- Track and coordinate freight and distribution of Spares and S&TE from subcontractors to the FSR teams located around Australia.
- Provide support to the Spares Optimisation and Obsolescence analyst with reports and data on current stock and tooling.
- Assist in the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of internal processes.
- Provide support to the HDA Lead Analyst and Support Services Lead for the provision of Support Services for HDA capabilities.
- Provide support to the Codification Coordinator with cataloguing and codification or items of supply from HDA and OEMs.
- Assist with the obsolescence program.
- Establish and maintain stakeholder relationships through effective communication, negotiation, and issues management to ensure project deliverables are met.
Note: The Spares and S&TE Coordinator may be required to travel to subcontractor and test locations which may be within Victoria, Interstate and Internationally
About you
As an ideal candidate, you will have:
- Experience in the defence and/or defence industry as a practitioner in the supply chain and logistics field.
- Experience with establishing and maintaining Logistical software such as Microsoft Office suite, SAP ERP, NMRCL, MCCAT and MILIS
- Understand Defence’s approach towards sustainment in the Land Domain and how Support System Constituent Capabilities interrelate.
- Knowledge and experience with Defence Supply Chain processes and procedures including stocktaking and storage of Sensitive and Attractive equipment (CCI, weapons and dangerous goods).
- Leadership skills: Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills. Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
- Stakeholder Management: Proven ability to effectively manage relationships and positively resolve disputes with internal/external stakeholders.
- Attention to detail: Meticulous approach to work, with the ability to identify potential risks and issues proactively. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Time management: Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work under tight deadlines without compromising quality.
Qualifications:
Mandatory:
- Certificate IV in relevant field or extensive related ADF/CASG experience.
Desirable:
- Bachelor’s study in relevant field.
