Support & Test Equipment (S&TE) Controller

As the S&TE Controller, you will work closely with a large and inclusive team of technical experts at RAAF Base Richmond focused on success.
Due to the nature of this role, it is a requirement to be based onsite at RAAF Base Richmond.
About the role
As a member of the Richmond Material Management Team, this role is responsible for the timely procurement and/or induction of Support and Test Equipment (S&TE) undertaken within the bounds of the Contracts. This position works in accordance and compliance with all processes, systems and tools set by the Senior Manager Material Support and Logistics to enable service delivery excellence.
Reporting to the Sydney Material Management Team Lead, the role will aid in the development of Annual Procurement Plans, Annual Maintenance Plans and associated budgets. Additionally you will aid in the performance of optimisation reviews of S&TE pipelines.
Some of your day-to-day activities will include:
* Contributing to the management of S&TE Contracts with suppliers
* Conducting reviews of individual S&TE items
* Conducting Procurement activities in support of S&TE items in support of the S&R program
* Conducting induction for repair activities in support of the S&R program.
* Knowledge of, and the ability to contribute to and/or participate in AMG Preparedness reviews/studies/planning
About you
To be successful in this role, it is a requirement to be able to work in a team environment, have well developed relationship skills as well as good verbal and written skills. You will need to be someone who is able to work autonomously and to tight deadlines and work comfortably in a continuous improvement work environment.
The skills and experience best suited to this role:
* Experience in managing an effective spares pipeline for Repairable items, and in liaising with customers and suppliers regarding issues
* Knowledge of performance reporting including KPI management, data and analysis; including timeliness of supply data
* Knowledge of data integrity practices within MILIS, SAP and other relevant systems, and participate in Data purification and review tasks as required
* Familiarity with Australian and/or New Zealand Defence Forces, Defence Supply & Inventory Management Systems (e.g. MILIS)
* Familiarity of SAP
* Knowledge of, and experience with, Defence Supply requirements detailed in the Electronic Defence Supply Chain Manual
