About Role

An excellent opportunity exists for an EDM Spark Erosion Toolmaker for SODICK Machine.

Machinist to join the established team at Clayton.

• Skilled & Good Mechanical Mindset
• Good knowledge of Solid Edge (Would be preferred)
• A Trade Qualification is desirable (Qualified toolmaker)
• Able to read technical and engineering/tool drawings
• Excellent team working, organisational and time management skills

Duties/Responsibilities

3D model/Drafting/Transparency (Solid –Edge) 

Stock-Keeping (Power-point)

Fabricate tools and parts with machining methods as follows:

CNC EDM (Sodick) - Desirable

Conventional Charmille EDM 

Wasino Optical Profile Grinding - OPG (Training will be provided)

Fitting, Polishing, Cutter Sharpening                                                       

Conventional Milling and Lathe for making Electrode

Job Environment

Hourly rate negotiable depending on experience

Working hours: 38 hrs per week, Monday to Friday.

Immediate Start - The position will become permanent full time following successful completion of a one-month probation period.
