About the role:
As a spatial system officer you will provide specialist technical skills required to understand issues and provide knowledgeable advice to clients.
You will provide quality support services, plan and conduct system testing enabling business improvement and effective information management.
Your effective ability to build and maintain working relationships will enhance partnerships with clients and service providers.
To be successful you will:
• Have knowledge of or the ability to acquire the knowledge of applying spatial tools to business process and solutions and incorporating other enterprise business capability where needed.
• Provide specialist technical skills required to understand issues and provide advice to clients on the status of operations of the spatial web services, databases, software and solutions across the spatial platform.
• Contribute to the creation of innovative solutions and automated/efficient processes to support the spatial platform and applications and the delivery of spatial products and services.
• Prepare written material eg briefing notes, application improvement plans and project documentation.
• Develop and maintain user guides and all spatial application documentation.
You will have analytical and excellent time management skills and a positive attitude to make a contribution to our connected team.
Some qualifications that we see as essential/desirable:
• Knowledge of spatial tools (e.g. ESRI ArcGIS Software Suite) and Microsoft 365 apps, Automation Flows, PowerBI
• Relevant qualifications and memberships in information management and/or geospatial information would be highly regarded.
