Firesafe Group Pty Ltd are a leading provider of fire protection systems to the Construction, Mining, Resources and Government sectors in both Western Australia, Victoria and Internationally.

Firesafe provide all aspects of fire protection, including Wet fire sprinkler systems, water mist and deluge, Special Hazard Foam and gas suppression systems, and Dry fire alarm and detection systems.

The Role

Firesafe are looking for a Special Hazards Project Manager to support our special Hazards team across our project portfolio. This role will be based in our Head Office in Bibra Lake (Perth, Australia), however domestic and international travel may be required.

This role would suit someone who is looking to make the Move to sunny Perth to continue their career.

Duties / Responsibilities

  • Plan, schedule and coordinate the delivery of projects on time and on budget
  • Manage project performance and trend reporting
  • Accountability for budgetary and cost control management
  • Proven track record in reaching KPI’s
  • Ensure all project variations to scope are effectively managed and charged
  • Collate project schedule, work in progress and work completed and report on project progress to construction management
  • Proven track record in reaching KPI’s
  • Cultivate individual talent and provide mentorship to emerging talent
  • Proven track record in reaching KPI’s
  • Implement performance management and monitor progress
  • Set high standard of HSEQ compliance for self and encourage others to do the same
  • Proactively participate in the development and implementation of initiatives to improve OH&S risks

Skills and Experience

  • Demonstrated experience working within a construction environment, including experience in project, earned value (EVM) and change management processes
  • Developed experience using industry standard cost and scheduling software packages
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • High level communication, influencing and negotiation skills
  • Autonomy to make decisions and solve problems
  • Professional demeanour
  • Experience with Gas Suppression Systems (EAHL tickets favorable but not essential
  • Experience with Foam Suppression Systems
  • Experience with Gas Detection, Fire Alarm systems
  • Experience with Water Based Suppression Systems – High and Low Pressure.
  • Experience in FIFO projects
  • International project experience (favorable but not essential)
