The Opportunity
As the Metronet Project in Bellevue continues to steam ahead, an opportunity for aSpecial Process Expertto join our team has become available. Reporting to the Site Special Process Manager, the primary focus of this role is to coordinate the industrial control of the Special Processes (SP) in the manufacturing phase.
This position plays a significant role across each of these phases in guaranteeing internal control and application of process rules in line with customers' requirements and contributing to technical solution decisions associated with Special Processes. This role is initially required for a fixed term of 2 years.
Key responsibilities;
- Define requirements and rules for associated tooling necessary to support production
- Qualify the product and industrial means in line with the design and support sourcing and quality teams in the development of suppliers and supplier qualification
- Apply a working knowledge and understanding of process engineering to the day to day monitoring and activities linked to Special Processes rules, issues and audits to propose and implement improvement ideas
Key skills and experience
- A relevant qualification in either process engineering, chemical, electronics, electrical, industrial or mechanical
- Proven working experience in industrial method and a Special Process being either welding, torquing, gluing, wheel pressing or crimping (with recognized training or certification)
- Familiarity with the manufacturing industry and its' associated documentation, process and work instructions
- A methodical professional with strong communication and teaching skills to provide coaching to others
This position is a full-time role, fixed term for 2 years.
