About the Role

As a key member of the WAIO Security and Emergency Management team, in the capacity of Emergency Management Trainer you will be tasked with successfully developing, delivering and governing a sustainable and fit for purpose Emergency Management training program for SEM team members and line-based volunteers across WAIO assets.

Your responsibilities in this role will include:

  • Developing and maintaining a Emergency Management training curriculum for WAIO assets
  • Evaluating and mapping learning objectives within a well defines business process
  • Supporting the implementation of training programs as they relate to Emergency Management activities
  • Developing and maintaining a high level of administrator efficiency with the BHP Learning Management System (LMS)
  • Assisting with the provision of suitable Emergency Management governance across WAIO assets
  • Identifying, mentoring and supporting site staff with Emergency Management training requirements
  • Providing reports for the SEM Leadership team on compliance activities
About You

To be successful in this role you will be a highly collaborative and degree qualified professional. You possess highly developed written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively with key people across multi-functional teams.

  • 2 to 5 years of Emergency Management and/or training experience.
  • Training experience in relation to developing, delivering, and reporting training.
  • High proficiency with Learning Management systems and reporting programs
  • RII30719 Certificate III in Emergency Response & Rescue
  • TAEASS402 Assess competence
  • TAEASS401 Plan assessment activities and processes
  • TAEDEL301 Provide work skill instruction
  • TAEASS502 Design and develop assessment tools
  • TAEASS403 Participate in assessment validation
