About the Role:
WorkPac are seeking a Specialist Hydrocarbons Water and WasteWater Engineer to join the Utilities Maintenance Engineering Team at RioTinto.
Role Purpose:
- Provide technical oversight for hydrocarbon and water asset design, procurement, and installation, ensuring compliance with license conditions and industry standards.
- Manage the expansion of infrastructure in Pilbara Operations, including the review of engineering specifications.
- Develop and implement maintenance tactics for hydrocarbons and water assets, ensuring operational readiness.
- Drive collaboration with sites, suppliers, and service providers to enhance processes and infrastructure.
- Lead divisional hydrocarbon and water supply projects, overseeing budgets and capitalization.
- Address a spectrum of issues, including people management, relationships, technical challenges, compliance, commercial matters, and HSEQ concerns.
- Define performance expectations, engage stakeholders, and ensure compliance with standards.
- Develop contracts, manage budgets, and conduct safety assessments, audits, and incident investigations.
- Collaborate with various departments, including Utilities Reliability Assurance, Health & Safety, Environmental, Asset Management, and more.
- Maintain communication with Rio Tinto Procurement, regulatory bodies, waste management providers, and other relevant stakeholders for works, commercial matters, and procurement protocols.
Skills & Experience Required:
- Tertiary qualifications in engineering, preferably Mechanical or Mechatronics.
- CPEng or NPER highly advantageous.
- In-depth knowledge of Hydrocarbons and Water engineering for utilities and distribution assets.
- Leadership and mentoring skills.
- Strong analytical and design capabilities.
- Project management expertise and commercial acumen.
- Willingness to be on call and travel to sites regularly.
- Current Western Australian "C" Class Driver's License.
