Since its establishment in 2017, the Alfred Hope Team (Adult) has provided three months of outreach follow-up support and treatment to clients presenting to hospital with significant suicidality. The Alfred's hybrid clinical-psychosocial-lived experience Hope model has demonstrated excellent outcomes and garnered national acclaim. A permanent opportunity now exists for a suitably credentialled consultant psychiatrist to join Alfred Hope.
The position constitutes 20 hours per week, including clinical consultation, provision of short-term psychological interventions and supervision of the fulltime Hope registrar.
Applicants must be legally qualified practitioners, registered or registrable with the AHPRA and a Fellow of The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists. They must be accredited FRANZCP supervisors, demonstrate relevant knowledge and experience in Psychiatry and meet Alfred Health requirements for credentialing and scope of practice in Psychiatry. Experience and expertise in psychotherapies would be desirable.
