The role
We currently have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a ‘Specialist – Inventory’ on a full-time basis, based in Albany.
The primary purpose of this role is to establish and running the forward stores function for the zone to ensure efficient and effective entry, tracking, and staging of parts and components to complete maintenance works across the zone.
Reporting to the Superintendent - Maintenance, the key deliverables for the role are:
Ensure all parts and components are catalogued, ordered, and issued as required, and in accordance with work orders to ensure maintenance budgets are accurate.
Complete monthly cyclic stock takes.
Update material numbers and submit new stock item requests as required.
Co-ordinate outwards freight, both to central stores and vendors off site.
Ensure record keeping of work performed through SAP or any other relevant CBH system is accurate.
Assist and be involved in the development of new initiatives to improve overall operational and maintenance efficiencies.
Work with the planner and supervisors to stage parts and components to improve work execution efficiency.
Perform general housekeeping, organisation, and co-ordination of the storage warehouses.
Assist the zone administration with harvest orders.
Assist Area Managers with zone operating inventory.
Maintain the maintenance height safety, rigging, access and safety equipment.
Our ideal candidate is an individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment, along with:
Previous experience in a stores or inventory focused role.
Ability to analyse data to forecast future inventory demands and align with maintenance requirements.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate information to a diverse range of people.
Ability to work autonomously in a collaborative work environment.
Continuous improvement mindset, with the ability to establish or improve processes and structures.
Previous experience with the Microsoft Office suite and SAP.
Minimum C class driver’s licence (HR/MR class driver’s licence is desirable).
While the main site and office is based in Albany Terminal precinct, you will also be required to travel to the other sites in the area, including frequent travel to Perth.
