On behalf of our client, a World Leader within the Energy / Oil & Gas industry, Brunel is presently sourcing an Inventory Specialist for a 12 month contract located in their Corporate Perth CBD supporting the Supply Chain Contracts & Procurement Department.
You will be responsible for:
- Ensuring the Inventory Integrity is maintained through continuous review of inventory transactions being performed
- Continuous optimisation of inventory through adopting standard ROP and EOQ methodologies
- Reviewing of stocking requests to ensure an optimal level of inventory is put forward by Materials Management for approval, followed by processing the approved inventory levels
- Coordinating Disposal Requests
- Managing and/or participating in special projects as required
- Assisting with periodic and ad hoc reporting as requested by Materials Management Lead
- Providing guidance and support to other departments with regards to Materials Management processes
- Pro-actively seek out Cost Avoidance opportunities
- Extensive Supply Chain experience and knowledge of Inventory Management processes, strategies, analysis, and philosophies
- Previous working experience in the SAP MM module and have a thorough understanding of both AP Modules on a functional level
- Inventory Management experience within Asset intensive industries, such as Oil & Gas, Mining, Power Generation
- Advanced MS Office Suite skills
- Sound understanding of the working principles of Procurement, Disposals, Stock Checking, Cataloguing, Quality Control, Logistics and Warehousing
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills – confident engaging with Management and Customers
- Ability to multi-task and work under pressure
- Resilient and ability to remain enthusiastic within a highly agile working environment
- Team supportive, as well as having the ability to resolve issues independently and proactively with minimal support
- 12 month contract
