YOUR ROLE
The IAG Procurement Centre of Excellence (PCOE) operates within the Procurement Partnering and Commercial (PP&C) team, aiming to achieve sustainable and risk-conscious procurement and partnering through insights, processes, and policies. Our goal is to empower stakeholders across the enterprise to make informed and impactful decisions. The IAG Procurement operating model is centre-led, presenting the unique challenge of influencing decisions and driving change in a cross-functional environment across Australia and New Zealand.
In the role of Specialist, Procurement and Supplier Risk you will lead, drive, and develop processes, tools, and controls that drive Supplier Risk management outcomes and mature procurement practitioners' risk culture by raising awareness, visibility, and understanding of procurement and Supplier Risks to help the organisation respond to existing and emerging risks and the evolving risk environment.
ABOUT YOU
We are looking for the right candidate with the following experiences;

  • Experience in procurement, a category management role, a supplier or contract management role or sourcing management role.
  • Prior experience in Supplier Risk role would be advantageous.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage procurement risks and Supplier Risks in a regulated industry environment.
  • Experience in developing reports and plans and analysing risk/controls problems and defining and/or overseeing the implementation of the risk control solutions that support efficient and resilient operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform assurance and audit controls tasks.
  • Extensive experience with risk management frameworks and governance requirements in large organisations
  • Excellent report writing and analytical skills, interpreting internal or external business issues and being able to make best practice recommendations..
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently, prioritise and get things done.
  • Strong project coordination experience and ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks and to prioritise own workload.
  • The ability to navigate complex organisational challenges (even if you don't know the answer) and work with your team and extended project team members to deliver success.
