We have a generous holiday package; plus the opportunity to buy more, great pension schemes and a number of health and wellbeing initiatives to support you.Closing Date: 27 May 2024The RoleThe School of Engineering are looking for a Research Assistant/Associate to work in a multi-disciplinary, multi-institutional collaborative team in the field of Li-ion battery safety. You will play a vital role in the t (funded by the ).Your role is to take lead and help the SafeBatt Team during preparations for experiments, assembly of the systems, charging and discharging of batteries (modules/ EV packs) and the installation of sensors, thermocouples etc. A key part of your role will be the analysis of the data produced by these activities.The role involves carrying out tests in external facilities so it important that you can travel for periods of around 1-2 weeks at a time. These field work activities include working outside in varying environmental conditions including lifting and carrying heavy equipment.You will have the opportunity to work with many external collaborators on different sites.
