Specialist Receptionist Or Dental Assistant - Oms And Periodontist

Focus Dental Specialists is looking for a receptionist and a Dental Assistant to work alongside our Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and Periodontists. We are looking for a team player with excellent customer service skills, a high degree of professionalism, and the ability to prioritise tasks and deal with a busy and fast paced environment. 

Previous experience in the dental industry, or experience as a receptionist in a medical practice is highly desirable.

Position 1 available - Receptionist

· Demonstration professionalism

. Enthusiastic and positive attitude with a high level of initiative and resilience 

. Efficient time management and organisational skills

. Liaising with private hospitals, patients, families and a variety of other medical professionals  

. Coordination of surgical bookings and theatre lists

. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment within a support team

· General admin and office duties

· Have an outstanding phone etiquette 

· Medical billing and construction of accurate surgical billing estimates

· Medicare and health fund knowledge 

· Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel

· Demonstration of high patient care standards

· Ability to self-direct through ambiguity

· Meticulous attention to detail

· Excellent interpersonal and team cohesion skills

· Confidence and ability to navigate practice management software, Praktika experience desirable but not essential

· Flexibility to work at our Coorparoo and Bardon sites

Position 2 available - Dental Assistant

· Flexibility to assist for surgical and dental procedures both in our Coorparoo and Bardon private rooms, and assisting in operating theatres in private hospitals across Brisbane.

· Certificate 3 or higher in Dental Assisting is highly regarded

· Rigorous adherence to infection control and practice protocols

. Enthusiastic and positive attitude with a high level of initiative and resilience 

· Demonstration professionalism

· Ability to take initiative and work well with the rest of the team

. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment within a support team

. Liaising with private hospitals, patients and a variety of other medical professionals  

. Coordination of surgical bookings and theatre lists

· Attention to detail

· Demonstration of high patient care standards

· Confidence and ability to navigate practice management software, Praktika experience desirable but not essential

· Some receptionist and admin duties 

· Flexibility to work at our Coorparoo and Bardon sites, and at theatre in private hospitals across Brisbane.
