About the Role


Reporting to the Manager Reward Australia, in this role you will: 

  • Partner with our Minerals Australia Asset HR teams in providing technical expertise in the management of reward and benefit programs and policies.
  • Support remuneration and benefit projects and improvement activities within the Australia region. 
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the global reward strategy, philosophy and frameworks, including benefits and recognition, to attract, motivate and retain BHP's current and future workforce.  
  • Provide advice & support to key remuneration and benefit activities including; job evaluation, annual reward review, gender pay analysis, reporting, remuneration proposals, enterprise agreement support.
  • Coach and partner to support the development of reward capability within the Business and HR. 
  • Support the management of local external vendor relationships for remuneration, benefits and recognition services to ensure high quality service delivery and prompt resolution of issues.

About You

  • Degree or equivalent education or experience required.
  • Expertise in remuneration and benefit program design and application including ability to think conceptually, analyse, problem solve and drive practical solutions.
  • Understanding of contemporary HR practices and policies.
  • Strong communication skills, high attention to detail, and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in use of the Microsoft Office suite, in particular Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience in execution of core remuneration activities including market benchmarking, job evaluation, modelling & analysis, compensation & benefit management.
  • Experience in SAP preferred.
