About the role
Roy Hill is currently seeking a Specialist Social Performance to join our corporate affairs team based in Perth. Reporting to the Principal Native Title and Social Performance, you will play a pivotal role in building Roy Hill's Social Performance capability by developing, refining, and advancing our comprehensive Social Performance framework, encompassing policies, standards, specifications, and procedures. Your expertise will provide essential support across various functions, ensuring our Social Performance objectives not only meet but exceed expectations.
Duties:
- Enhance and manage Roy Hill's Social Performance system architecture, ensuring quality control and assurance
- Offer expert guidance for consistent enhancement and improvement of Roy Hill's Social Performance capabilities
- Collaborate with functional departments to set and implement their Social Performance goals and strategies
- Provide advice and support to operational teams on compliance with Roy Hill's Social Performance standard and specification
- Assist in developing Social Performance KPIs and ensure their accurate monitoring and reporting
- Provide advice on Social Performance issues within social impact and risk assessments
- Stay abreast of best practices and evolving standards in the extractive sector to safeguard Roy Hill against social risk exposures
Skills and Experience:
- Tertiary qualifications in in Social Sciences or a Science Degree with a focus on Human Development Studies and additional training/ qualifications in Social Performance related matters
- Significant Social Performance experience including experience within an extractive sector environment
- Experience designing and managing Social Performance corporate systems and processes
- Knowledge of industry leading practice in Social Performance matters
- Well-developed problem solving and organisational skills
- Solutions focussed with the ability to develop strong working relationships and influence positive outcomes
- Ability to earn the support of community members, particularly Aboriginal and land-connected peoples
