The Role
The Junction Works supports people with disability, mental health issues or social disadvantage, to live their best lives. We are an actively growing organisation providing support services in the Greater Western Sydney Region. We are seeking a Speech Pathologist to join our Works Practice team, a collaboration with other clinical disciplines in the development and delivery of therapeutic interventions. Our services are designed to reduce disadvantage and poverty in marginalised communities as represented by people with a disability, young people at risk, Aboriginal people, and people experiencing distress and hardship.
This position is dedicated to delivering top-tier services aimed at engaging with participants and providing access to various supports and services identified by individuals at critical life stages. The ultimate goal is to promote optimal wellbeing and facilitate social participation.

Some of your key duties will include (but will not be limited to):
- Manage a caseload of participants with a disability and their families or carers, who present with communication and/or eating/drinking needs.
- Providing services in accordance with best practice guidelines to ensure positive outcomes for participants.
- Assess participant needs and develop, implement, monitor and review communication and/or eating/drinking skills in alignment with NDIS plans to ensure needs are being met.
- Support the philosophy of person-centred practice and engage in collaborative, holistic goal setting that reflects the individual’s needs and priorities.
- Ensure that organisational benchmarks are met in accordance to customer expectations and participant caseload allocation.
- Ensure service delivery models are based on current evidence-based practice, and are delivered within resources and hours presented within participant’s individual plan.
- Demonstrate proficient assessment and measurement skills, including collection of client information and selection of appropriate assessment and intervention tools.
- Provide support and collaborate with other Works Practice therapists, and students.

- Relevant qualifications as a Speech Pathologist
- Membership with Speech Pathology Australia (or awaiting membership)
- Energetic, passionate and motivated
- Ability to work independently and amongst a team
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
