About the Role
Due to growth and emerging needs within our service,Life Skills Hub is currently looking to welcome another like-minded professional with a Speech Pathologist to join our multidisciplinary team. We are seeking an enthusiastic Speech Pathologist to provide 1:1 and group based therapeutic services. You will be supported by large team consisting of OT's, Psychologists, Dietitians, AHA's, Mentors and a fantastic admin team. There is potential for full-time clinic-based work with a mixture of clinic-based and offsite services in the community.
Full-Time or Part-Time positions would be considered. Employee or Contractor arrangements available.

Tasks & responsibilities
- Provision of speech pathology interventions that address identified client goals.
- Supporting the development and dacilitation of group therapeutic and/or structured programs that are in line with client goals.
- Conducting initial assessments to determine needs of the client using a combination of assessments and clinical observations.
- Preparation of formal assessment reports, and other relevant documentation including, but not limited to NDIS progress reports, Medicare letters and therapy plans.
- Continued critical reflection and reviewing the effectiveness of service delivery, and adjust accordingly to best meet client needs.
- Liaise with other allied health professionals and external organizations in providing holistic and wrap around services.
- Providing support to mentors and allied health assistants to best respond to client cohort.
About you:
- Strong Interpersonal skills and an ability to deal with a diverse range of people in age, culture, health conditions, histories and other backgrounds.
- Collaborative, client-centred, inclusive, relational and evidence-based approach.
- Ability to work both independently and in a team (including multidisciplinary and leadership teams)
- Strong openness to learning and growing as a professional.
- Adaptable and flexible in guiding therapy most suited to client's needs and circumstances
- High degree of initiative with the capacity to formulate new ideas
- Exceptional organizational skills and time management skills.
Essential Criteria:
- Approved qualification in Speech Pathology
- Minimum 1-2 years clinical experience in providing assessments and therapeutic services, particularly in a paediatric context.
- Current Working With Children Check
- Current registration with Speech Pathology Australia (SPA)
- Current First Aid Certificate including up-to-date CPR.
- Completion of "Through Their Eyes' training or equivalent.
- Driver's license with access to a car for offsite services.
- Eligible to obtain Medicare Provider numbers
Highly Desirable:
- Experience working with NDIS, Medicare and private health clients.
- Experience in providing supervision to other professionals.
- Experience in developing / facilitating professional development workshops and/or trainings.
- Experience in completing swallowing assessments and developing oral care eating and drinking care plans.
