This is a wonderful opportunity for a team-spirited Speech Pathologist who is eager to develop in a supportive and warm environment. With regular professional development days and social activities, this service prides itself on their positive staff reviews and retention. Your role will see you providing Speech Pathology services to NDIS clients with a range of diagnosis in the local community.
The Role:
- Undertake assessments and provide intervention, liaising with families, teachers & other relevant stakeholders.
- Interventions will be carried out in the community (homes, schools, etc).
- Interventions will have a focus on evidence-based practice
- Provide services to 5 clients per day.
- Participate in professional development and tailored support provision
- Foster connections and provide encouragement within the multidisciplinary team.
Requirements:
- Tertiary Qualification Speech Pathology (with SPA membership).
- A passion for facilitating and enabling meaningful outcomes for children or adults with a disability and their families
- Experience as a Speech Pathologist within the NDIS is preferred however not essential
- Good written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and families to ensure that therapy is fun and engaging.
- Current driver’s license and car
- Working with Children Check, National Police Check, First Aid training (or willingness to obtain these).
