This nationally significant social infrastructure project will be a place to nurture, trial and share new ideas and form new partnerships that will drive better outcomes for people who are deaf, hard of hearing, blind or have low vision.Job DescriptionThe RoleNextSense has an exciting opportunity for a Speech Pathologist to join our team at Moonee Ponds. This is a permanent full-time role and reports directly to the Area Manager. You'll make a difference in this role by:

• Providing clinical services including individual sessions, group sessions, and assessments that focus on achieving the speech, language and communication goals of the client and their family. Provide additional required services associated with complex clients.
• Providing support for predominantly school aged and early intervention clients, in addition this may include clients in the Cochlear Implant Program spanning all age groups
• Assist with initiatives to develop quality services that reach more people with hearing loss
• Understand and use NextSense processes related to NDIS funding for clients
• Support clients together with their family to achieve their therapy goals and realise their full potential
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team/s to develop comprehensive care plans for clients

Desired Skills and ExperienceTo be successful in this role you'll need to demonstrate you meet the following selection criteria;

• Degree in Speech Pathology or equivalent
• Current registration with Speech Pathology Australia or equivalent body
• Demonstrated Speech Pathology experience in a range of settings
• Familiarity with operational systems and processes related to clients, including NDIS
• Working with Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check in accordance with Victorian Child Protection legislation
• Ability to work autonomously as well as the ability to work collaboratively with a team
