About the Role
This is a Fixed Term Part Time position to cover Parental Leave for 12 months at 0.2 EFT/15.2 hours per fortnight within RCH Mental Health.
We are seeking an experienced Speech Pathologist to work in a multidisciplinary team for the assessment of Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD). You will be involved in multidisciplinary assessments and will be responsible for writing comprehensive reports and providing recommendations to families, schools, and other professionals.
Classification for this position will range from YB47 - YB50 (base salary $17,261 - $19,842 per annum, plus superannuation)
Speech Pathologist Grade 2 - RCH Mental Health

  • Parental Leave cover until March 2025
  • 0.2 EFT
What you'll achieve:
  • Work collaboratively with other clinical disciplines to provide high quality multi-disciplinary assessments
  • Provide high quality reports and recommendations about management of clients with ASD
  • Provide speech pathology specific assessments as required
Your skills and experience
  • Degree or Post-graduate qualification in Speech Pathology and eligibility for membership of Speech Pathology Australia
  • Demonstrated clinical skills in the provision of diagnostic assessments
  • Experience working with a multidisciplinary assessment team.
  • Experience providing intervention to children with developmental difficulties.
  • Knowledge of mental health and experience working with children with mental health difficulties

About the Department
RCH Mental Health comprises community- and hospital-based services, and is responsible for providing public Infant, Child & Youth Mental Health & Wellbeing services for young people living in the north-west Melbourne.
