Overview
Please note that this position is multi-classified as either a AHP1 or AHP2.
Under the direct supervision of the Senior Speech Pathologist, you will provide a broad range of non-complex and copmplex speech pathology services in various settings across the Limestone Coast region. These will include acute, residential care facilities and community settings. You will provide services to individuals and groups, targeting at-risk and priority clients in the community in accordance with service eligibility and prioritisation criteria. You may also provide speech pathology services to non-complex inpatients across hospitals within the Limestone Coast Local Health Network, including the High Dependency Unit, Surgical, Medical, Maternity and Paediatric Wards. You will work as a member of a multidisciplinary team including health professionals and service providers from other sectors, and utilise a combination of preventative, early intervention, treatment/therapy and evaluation approaches. You must hold a recognised qualification in Speech Pathology and be eligible for practicing membership of Speech Pathology Australia. With experience in providing straightforward clinical services, including one-on-one, group and health promotion activities, you will be capable of managing and prioritising your personal workload. You will apply client-centred practice and community engagement principles in the provision of speech pathology services, ensuring clients are meaningfully involved in all aspects of their care.
