THE COMPANY

THE ROLE
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Speech Pathologist and Occupational Therapist who is committed to enhancing the lives of individuals, both clients and the small team under their guidance. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing individual assessment, treatment, and consultative services to our diverse caseload of participants, focusing on delivering services within the community and participants' homes.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide evidence-based assessment, treatment, and consultancy services to participants with disabilities. This includes four days a week dedicated to assisting homecare and NDIS clients in the community.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and external stakeholders to ensure the most effective support for participants.
- One day a week devoted to leading a small team of OTs, including referral allocation, facilitating team meetings, providing mentorship & organising professional development.
- Quarterly alignment days, where collaboration with other team leaders aims to enhance team culture, well-being, strategic objectives, and client satisfaction.
- Assisting in developing graduates to help them excel as Occupational Therapists.
- Fortnightly leadership meetings to monitor team progress and offer leadership support.
ABOUT YOU
- Qualification in Speech Pathology or Occupational Therapy and proven experience are essential.
- Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Knowledge or experience in the disability sector is highly desirable.
- Current driver's license.
- Excellent communication, advocacy, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines, and work effectively within a team.
- Eagerness to learn and take initiative.
- Empathetic and compassionate towards individuals with disabilities.
- Well-organised and ethically minded.
- Positive, self-motivated, and adaptable.
