Therapist Position

We are excited to offer this salary-based position at Peach Speech Pathology & Allied Health Services. We have positions available for a Speech Pathologist and/or Occupational Therapist. Full or part-time positions available.

About Peach Speech Pathology & Allied Health Services

1&3/62 Coolbellup Avenue, Coolbellup.

Peach Speech Pathology is a close-knit private practice located in Coolbellup. We currently have a team of 10 Speech Pathologists, with Therapy Assistants and an Administration team. We are highly regarded for providing a friendly and supportive work environment and quality individualised services for families. Each position has been created to ensure you get satisfaction from your work while promoting a healthy balance across your life areas. We tailor each position with flexibility to the needs and values of the Therapist. Our staff are highly supported, with weekly support meetings, an additional week of leave for completing professional learning, and a genuine and collaborative workplace. We operate from a well-resourced clinic with efficient practice management software. Each Therapist has their own therapy room to work from each day. We primarily support clients from early years through to young adults. We are NDIS registered and support a range of privately and NDIS-funded families.

We have been operating for a decade as a speech pathology clinic and are excited to expand to include occupational therapy services. We have just purchased additional clinic space. This will provide a large open area to support clients who require movement within their therapy. OT-specific mentoring will also be available.

The Peach team enjoys meeting regularly for dinners, social engagements, professional learning, and discussions. Peach Speech not only offers an excellent service, it really is a great place to work.

The Position

We have positions available that can be tailored to the skills, experience, and goals of the successful applicant.

We welcome new graduates and early-career Speech Pathologistsand Occupational Therapists to apply. Join a team that will support and care for you as you begin your therapy career.  Leadership opportunities are available for more experienced Therapists. Our private practice offers a generalist caseload, providing an excellent environment for you to establish or develop your career and develop your skills across a wide variety of areas. In addition to developing your skills, we also provide:

  • Individual support and clinical supervision
  • Professional training across all key areas of assessment and therapy. Our team has a variety of key interest areas (such as speech, literacy, mealtimes, social skills, assistive technology, language, and autism diagnosis), so our graduates are provided with well-rounded support.
  • Our team is close and caring - you will be well-known.
  • We offer salary-based positions with flexible targets, flexible hours, travel allowances, additional leave options, and professional learning leave built-in.
  • The position includes (FTE) 2 weeks professional learning leave, 13 weeks of reduced (80%) targets to allow you some time to refresh (equivalent to 13 days additional leave), and 2 wellness days (in addition to the regular annual and personal leave allowances) .
  • We are closely connected to a range of allied health and medical professionals, so you will develop a holistic approach to therapy.

Leadership opportunities are also available for more experienced Therapists. These roles include opportunities to undertake:

  • contribution to business development, including service delivery and policy development,
  • leadership and strategic planning, including business promotion,
  • team management and development, and
  • clinical oversight, compliance, and quality assurance.

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Speech Pathology or Occupational Therapy, and registration with relevant governing bodies (e.g. Speech Pathology Australia – CPSP status or Occupational Therapy Board of Australia).
  • Well-developed general caseload skills.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional learning.
  • Proven ability to demonstrate initiative and work with independence, demonstrated problem-solving, time management, and organisational skills.
  • Demonstrated exemplary standards of verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proof of an acceptable criminal history screening check (WWCC and police clearance within 12 months) and NDIS screener check and others as required.
  • Medicare Registration and registration with private health fund providers.
