Casual Speech Pathologist – Kogarah, NSW
Australian Health Professionals is looking for a Casual Speech Pathologist to join our team in Kogarah to assist with an increase in aged care referrals.
AHP Aged Care:
At AHP Aged Care, we provide temporary and permanent placements for allied health and nursing services within the aged care industry.
Our team is composed of recruitment consultants who have spent years in the health and aged care space. Because of this, we fully recognise the challenges faced by the aged care industry and can leverage our knowledge in providing qualified and expert aged care staff that stimulate independence, dignity, comfort, and quality of life for the elderly.
Main duties:
Communication therapy
Developing communication aids and resources
Providing textured modified diets and thickened fluids
Providing education regarding safe swallowing positioning and strategies as well as enhancing the mealtime environment to increase participation
Providing swallowing exercises to rehabilitate swallowing muscles
Optimising the environment to enable both safe mealtimes and social participation at the same time
Requirements:
Qualifications as a Speech Pathologist
Registered with Speech Pathology Australia
National Police Check and NDIS Workers Screening Certificate
Appropriate Flu & COVID Vaccination
Compassionate and high interest in the aged care
What we offer:
Attractive casual rates – $70ph – $90ph + Super
Contractor rates $90ph
