About the role
- The purpose of this role is to provide professional leadership to the acute speech pathology team, while contributing to the delivery of efficient and effective speech pathology services to adult patients with acute swallowing and communication disorders and their families in the Caboolture-Kilcoy Hospitals.
- Deliver high level, contemporary speech pathology and consultancy services in the areas of complex communication and dysphagia management (including tracheostomy management and instrumental swallowing assessments where competency is held) to adult inpatients.
- Lead speech pathology service development, including clinical education initiatives associated with acute adult care and support the Director of Speech Pathology in the planning, implementation and evaluation of speech pathology services within the Caboolture Hospital.
