Far North is the largest registered NDIS provider based in the iconic Kimberley and we continue to grow! We are a dynamic not-for-profit organisation that is founded, based and operating in the stunning Kimberley with therapy teams based in Broome, Derby and Kununurra.
Our mission is to provide high quality, culturally sensitive therapy intervention to individuals throughout the wide Kimberley region. We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed Speech Pathologist who shares our values to join our team in Broome. Our aim is to be culturally aware and assist in building the capacity of the person, their families, their community and/or their support teams to develop the strengths of each individual to promote engagement within their community.
Living in the Kimberley Region
The Kimberley region offers one of the most diverse and breath taking landscapes in the world. Enjoy a swim in the crystal-clear ocean water and spot some whales, drive your car on the beach and watch the sunset with a locally brewed ginger beer, explore boasting stunning rivers and incredible national parks, go for a camping and fishing trip up the famous Cape Leveque - you’ll never run out of places to explore and adventures to go on.
The Role
Work within a transdisciplinary team of passionate therapists throughout the East Kimberley. We provide therapy in our well-equipped facilities but mainly visit our participants in their own homes. Furthermore we provide therapy services in very remote areas and communities. Therefore we offer professional 4WD courses to make sure you have the best experience reaching your clients in our company cars on dirt roads or through river crossings. We also charter private aircrafts to get you in some of the most remote and pristine communities that Australia has to offer. You will have the opportunity to work with children and adults who are culturally and linguistically diverse and have a wide range of disabilities.
