The Australian Flying Disc Association (AFDA) is the National Governing Body of all Disc Sports in Australia, one being Ultimate Frisbee. Since Ultimate Frisbee’s introduction as a sport within the Australian Sports Commission’s Sports Schools programs, it has seen significant growth in popularity in schools across Australia.
As the Sporting Schools Assistant, you will be working hand in hand with the State Governing Bodies’ development officers, private providers, and coaches to coordinate and manage the Ultimates and Fly Sporting Schools’ programs.
Reporting to the Coordinator (Growth, Pathways, and Communication) key tasks will include:
- Coordinate Sporting Schools booking requests.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to monitor and action Sporting Schools related tasks successfully.
- Coordinate school equipment orders including but not limited to ordering, receiving, packing, and distributing equipment.
- Sporting School Program evaluation.
- Monitor and update Level 1 Accredited coaches.
- Other tasks as requested to support the overall success of the organisation’s sports initiatives.
