Athletics Australia (AA) is the governing body for Athletics in this country. It is a National Sporting Organisation whose major partner is the Australian Sports Commission. AA is responsible for all athletics activity, including high performance, participation, coaching, officiating, juniors, para-athletics, domestic and international competition. Athletics Australia has a critical role in leading, fostering and encouraging participation in athletics in Australia and promoting excellence in performance.
Athletics is consistently one of the most requested sports in the Sporting Schools program and we are currently seeking to recruit a Sporting Schools Coordinator (2 Year Fixed Term Contract).

As the Sporting Schools Coordinator, you will support the Participation Programs Manager perform critical functions relating to the end-to-end administration of the Sporting Schools Program.
Your core duties will include;
- Day-to-day coordination of Athletics Australia’s Sporting Schools Program
- Managing Program administrative systems, processes, and compliance requirements with attention to detail and impeccable customer service
- Liaising with Coaches and Schools to ensure delivery of Programs
- Maintaining databases to ensure coaches have valid qualifications and certificates
What we are looking for;
We are looking for a self-motivated person who demonstrates a passion for program delivery with strong administration and interpersonal skills.
You will have a passion for providing children with high quality sport participation experiences.
Ideally you will have:
- A relevant qualification in sports administration, education, or a related field
- Experience working with schools and/or within the sports industry at a community level
- Working with Children Check
- Experience building rapport with internal and external stakeholders
- Proven experienced meeting set deliverables within a timely manner
- Strong attention to detail
- A willingness to learn.
