AddressMcPherson Media Group (MMG) is the largest independent media organisation in Victoria and one the leading provider of sports coverage in the regional Victoria. We are currently looking for a Cadet Sports Journalist to join our team working for Benalla Ensign and Seymour Telegraph, with the assistance and support of the sports team at the Shepparton News.
The role will suit a candidate with a true passion for community sport, from lawn bowls to BMX racing. You will create unique sporting coverage of events ranging from Auskickers playing their first game to the region’s top cricketers battling for grand final glory. You will engage with our audience via traditional print as well as online and social media. You will also shoot an occasional video or a podcast.
Apart from exceptional verbal and written skills, the right candidate will possess excellent time management and the ability to work towards tight and competing deadlines.
