An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Marine Spray Painter to join our growing team. In this role you will be responsible for:
• Preparing new vessels for paintwork vessels by sanding with electrical power tools or manually
• Applying vessels with anti-corrosive applications
• Masking areas of the vessel that do not require to be painted with tape and plastic/paper for protection.
• Choose correct type of paint to be used, including colour matching to existing paint.
• Apply layers of paint using spray guns and preparing surfaces between layers
• Completing paint touch ups and buffing of vessels
• Preparing final vessel by removing plastic/paper and polishing paintwork
• Completing artwork and signs on vessels•
• preparing vessel for launch
• Painting of additional components for new vessels as required.
Our ideal candidate will meet the following criteria:
Certificate III in Automotive Refinishing Technology or commencing an Apprenticeship.
At least 3 years’ experience in a similar position or commencing an Apprenticeship.
