Responsibilities
This is the fully qualified level job. Has responsibility for developing and maintaining engineering application software for use in Oil/Gas industry. Engages in research to incorporate existing technology into Weatherford's products. Provides support to internal and external clients working on consulting projects which use Weatherford's engineering software. Writes and maintains robust engineering software applications for commercial use and distribution. Participates in the testing process through test review and analysis, test witnessing and certification of software. Designs, plans, and coordinates work teams. Provides technical support to project team members.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using industry-standard automation tools and frameworks
- Collaborate with development and QA teams to identify test scenarios, automate test cases, and prioritize testing efforts
- Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline to enable continuous testing and deployment
- Execute automated test scripts to validate software functionality, performance, and reliability
- Analyze test results and report defects to development teams using issue tracking systems.
- Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and other Agile/Scrum activities
- Work closely with manual testers to ensure comprehensive test coverage and effective test strategies.
- Continuously improve test automation frameworks, tools, and processes to enhance efficiency and scalability.
- Stay updated on emerging trends, tools, and best practices in test automation and software testing.
- Mentor junior members of the QA team and provide guidance on test automation best practices.
- Quality Assurance regression testing, ticket testing of bug fixes with collateral damage validation, interface and integration testing, environmental testing on multiple platforms.
- Understand Weatherford Quality Policy and comply with all requirements of the Quality Systems Manual, Operating and Technical Procedures and Workplace Instructions.
- Perform various other duties and activities as assigned by supervisor within the physical constraints of the job.
- Plan test schedules or strategies in accordance with project scope/delivery dates
- Proven experience in test automation using tools such as Selenium WebDriver, Cypress, or Appium.
- Strong programming skills in languages such as C#, JavaScript, or others
- Experience with test automation frameworks such as TestNG, JUnit, PyTest, or NUnit.
- Knowledge of web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and HTTP protocols.
- Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
- Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Relevant certifications such as ISTQB Certified Tester, Certified Selenium Professional, or equivalent are a plus.
Qualifications
Required:
- B.E. (Computer Science/E&TC) with 4-8 years of experience in Software Testing (Manual/Automation).
- Automation Testing Exp should be minimum 4 years.
- Experience in Oil and Gas domain projects.
