Student Support Services aims is to assist children and young people facing a range of barriers to learning to achieve their educational and developmental potential through the provision of a range of strategies and specialized support at individual, group, and school levels. As part of an Area based multi-disciplinary health, wellbeing, and inclusion team, you will work to help build the capability of schools to support student achievement, engagement, and wellbeing.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing and facilitating the capability-building of schools with individual, group and whole of school strtaegies, interventions and programs.
- Supporting schools to develop high quality Individual Education Plans and Behaviour Support Plans that are based on data and functions of behaviour.
- In conjunction with schools, developing Educational Needs Assessments for students in Out of Home Care.
- Supporting schools in critical incident response and recovery.
- Assuming the role of the regional Health and Wellbeing Key Contact for 3-4 schools in the Area.
