About the Service
St Agnes OSHC Out of School Hours Care is a medium sized service providing care for up to 70 children during Before and After School Care, Vacation Care and Pupil Free Days. We provide a safe, caring environment where children can feel comfortable to explore their independence and are stimulated by their surroundings.
Position Overview
St Agnes OSHC are seeking both Qualified Educators to join our hard-working team in a casual role. The Educators will be directly responsible to the OSHC Director with the potential to work the following hours:
- Before School Care sessions (7:00am-9:30am) Monday to Friday.
- After School Care sessions (2:00pm-6:00pm) Monday to Friday.
- Vacation Care & Pupil Free Days (7:00am-6:00pm)
NOTE: Staff that work a morning shift and an afternoon shift on the same day will receive an additional ‘split fee allowance’ of $19.00. An additional ‘clothing free allowance’ of $1.20 is also provided daily when uniform is worn.
Outline of Educator Responsibilities
- Assist with the day to day running of the service
- Adequate supervision of children
- Observing the interactions of children to ensure an emotionally and physically safe environment
- Implementing set activities on the weekly program
- Create written observations of children in your allocated area using Google Docs
- Behaviour guidance of children, ensuring they are adhering to our OSHC values
- Administration of general first aid to children in need.

- Current Working with Children Check
- Training undertaken in Responding to Risk of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education Care (RRHAN-EC)
- Qualified Educators must have Diploma in Out of School Hours Care, Children's Services or School Age Education and Care, or a relevant Education Degree as approved by ACECQA seen as favourable.

- HLTAID009/001 Provide CPR
- HLTAID012/004 Provide First Aid in an Education Setting.
