Form of workAt Our Family Respite, we offer Short Term Accomodation & Respite services to a vast range of clients with a vast range of disabilities. From children to adults, and from low to high support needs we aim to provide a service that offers a safe space to each and every person, with a personalized and flexible approach to their care needs.

We are looking for support workers and families to host clients in your own family homes, for short term stays. This can range anywhere from 24 hour blocks up to 7 nights depending on the clients needs and situation. Our goal is to pair clients with the same regular host's who then become a familiar extended support network for that person, and their parents / guardians.
What are we looking for in our hosts?
- Must have spare room available
- Experience working with people with disabilities
- A spare furnished bedroom in your home
- Availability overnight (weekends preferable)
What will you need (or be willing to obtain)?
- National Disability Worker screening check
- ABN (Australian Business Number)
- Drivers License
- NDIS Workers orientation
- First Aid Certificate
What will we provide?
We will provide you with all your training, paperwork and policies / procedure's. We will also provide your Public Liability and Professional indemnity insurances. We will cover all advertising and marketing, and provide you with all of your clients, including being part of the introduction and ‘meet and greet’ process. We will pay nightly expenses for food and activities, on top of the daily amount paid per client.
