We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Staff Dining Room Assistantto join our team on a Full-Time basis and contribute to the well-being of our valued ladies and gentlemen.
The Role:
Reporting to our Human Resources department and Culinary Department, you will be working in our employee Dining Room. You will use your exceptional food safety and hygiene knowledge while assisting with the day-to-day running of the Dining Room. This includes Dining Room maintenance, cleanliness, ordering, and equipment temperature checks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform a variety of catering and cleaning activities to ensure the effective operation of the kitchen/canteen.
- Adhere to maintenance protocols to ensure safe and hygienic operations within the kitchen/canteen.
- Provide quality canteen and catering customer service, including some food production and preparation duties, counter service, clearing tables, and cleaning duties.
- Replenish napkins, sugar, coffee, tea, and cutlery available for ladies and gentlemen throughout the day.
- Maintain a clean, hygienic environment for the preparation, storage, and safe handling of food.
- Follow procedures regarding food preparation and adhere to daily menu plans.
- Report malfunctioning equipment to the Human Resources department promptly using appropriate paperwork.
- Follow Workplace Health and Safety practices to ensure that the canteen and equipment are operated and maintained safely and hygienically.
- Promote a safe, secure environment for ladies and gentlemen.
About You:
- Food handling certificate is required.
- Full time availability & work rights required.
- Previous experience in a similar role in a hotel or restaurant setting is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of food preparation and hygiene standards.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- A positive attitude and a team-oriented mindset.
